One day Lindsay and Scott will arm wrestle to settle their ongoing Who Is The Bigger Mr. Show Nutcase feud they didn’t know they were in until just now. Until they go over the top, though, one point goes to Lindsay for not only posting Rogue Wave’s video for the previously loved “Chicago X 12″ — which features Bob Odenkirk as a clueless director — but also for spotting the trend and appending more music videos starring Bob and/or Dave as clueless directors. This includes the likes of YLT’s “Sugarcube” and Superchunk’s “Watery Hands” (but disqualifies the New Pornos’ “Use It” and the Strokes’ “Juicebox“). In the Rogue Wave clip, Bob is a misheard lyric specialist with a predilection for The Karate Kid. Not sure there’s more you need to hear than that. Go watch at Videogum, it’s a cute clip and a fun video spread. I saw the shit out of it!

i swear if i were ever to start another blog - it would totally be devoted to pets - i even own the domain name thecelebritypet.com but who has time to run more than one blog? certainly not i (especially not while holding down a full-time unrelated job…oh good times) so whenever i come across adorable pictures like the ones below (those two chihuahuas are so freakin’ cute with their little hats on) i can’t help myself from posting ‘em here on popbytes! over the weekend up in sleepy yet gorgeous santa barbara the big dog parade and canine festival was held where over 1,200 doggies got all gussied up in a variety of costumes in front of 16,000 people - all of the proceeds from the event are benefiting the big dog foundation helping out both dogs and children - next year i’d love to get all three of my dogs in on the action although none of ‘em like wearing costumes and they’d probably bark like crazy (especially my affenpinscher parker) but it’s a nice thought! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo

As the Wall Street Journal first reported, AC/DC are following in the path blazed by Eagles, Garth Brooks, and Journey, becoming the next big-time band selling a CD exclusively through Wal-Mart. Eagles and Garth, et al, made lite-rock (and country) sense. From an aesthetic standpoint, though, the guys behind TNT, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Powerage, For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), Back In Black, the aforementioned Highway To Hell, and the name “AC/DC”? Takes big balls, mates. It’s the Brendan O’Brien-produced follow-up to 2000’s Stiff Upper Lip, and though it’ll officially be part of the Columbia catalog, you’ll only be able to grab it by going into your neighborhood Wal-Mart when it’s out this fall. Also, according to the NY Times, Fleetwood Mac could be next … tusk, tusk. Thing is, Eagles’ Long Road Out of Eden has gone almost triple platinum, so obviously there’s incentive in this dying market. Remember, before iTunes recently took its place, Wal-Mart was the biggest music retailer in the States.
