It’s true, the Police are going out with a bit of philanthropy: The band added an extra and final show in New York City to raise money for Public Television. As The New York Times reports, the suggestion, broached by the band, arrived just as PBS was looking for ways to draw-in baby boomers. Synchronicity. And, really, this seems about as good a way as any to attract that valued age bracket unless — hint, hint — Public TV somehow got Eagles involved. For now, though, it’s Sting, Andy, and Stewart stumping, fittingly, for Antiques Roadshow:

Since Scott Reitherman’s Throw Me The Statue project secured BTW status, he’s been a busy guy. He’s taken away to SXSW. He’s Taken Away on the ferry. And he’s taken over our televisions with that Rhapsody ad. The tune from that spot, sunny Moonbeams standout “Lolita,” gets a video today, with an appropriately desirable young girl (not Nabokov young — even Scott makes certain lyrically his Lolita’s 19, not 12) being chased by a father/son combo. Exploding cakes ensue.

A soon to be former nanny for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt talked to Star Magazine about the super family’s hectic and sexy life. The anonymous caretaker says, “Angelina doesn’t believe in old-fashioned restrictions because she finds them oppressive. So her rule is to have few rules.”
This leads to her children eating whatever they want to eat, each child running around speaking different languages (with Maddox speaking only French) and six televisions which are constantly on. The only time Brad and Angelina ... Read More

American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night and, of course, it was pretty funny!
Among other things, Simon talked about a caller who phoned in to Idol on live television and asked if he remembered kissing her in the garden years and years ago. He giggled so much during the story that he almost choked on his water. It was hilarious!
Jay also asked him about the fact that Simon’s brother, Nicholas, said that ... Read More

good evening! i had such a long day today but overall things went great - except for the fact while walking around boston this evening i felt like i needed earmuffs - my ears were so cold plus it was really windy - it’s a beautiful quaint city yet i think i’d rather come in the summertime - since living in los angeles i’ve been totally spoiled by all the warm weather and sunshine…speaking of LA just today a new promo for 90210 hit the web for the upcoming fall show (airing on the CW) which is a spin-off of sorts from the hugely popular aaron spelling created teen serial drama beverly hills 90210 (that show ran from 1990-2000…i had absolutely no clue it ran for ten years!) i’ll admit i loved the show back in the day - something about the whole thing just worked - the casting - all the backstage drama with shannen doherty etc. - i seriously don’t know what to think about the new version - of course i’ll give it a chance but based on the promo below - i’m not feeling it yet however i’m thrilled to see annalynne mccord as part of the cast - she played the highly naughty & very sexy eden on nip/tuck - total smart casting choice! (bonus pics of ms. mccord at the recent CW upfronts held in NYC on may 13th are posted below)
other regulars will include lori loughlin, rob estes (of melrose place fame) and jenny garth will be back (on a recurring basis) as ‘kelly taylor’ (playing a guidance counselor at ‘west beverly hills high’) although i’d love to see (highly annoying) ‘brenda’ come back - i bet ms. doherty wants nothing to do with the show but she could use the work i’m sure…and we all know that tori spelling desperately wants to be on the show as well - the producers should just toss the girl a bone and let ‘donna martin’ live once again! come this fall we’ll really know if 90210 is america’s favorite zipcode (like the promo claims) if all goes well - who knows - we might be seeing more soap operas being resurrected like dynasty or dallas - i’m all about recycling (go green!) but when it comes to television - hollywood needs to calm down before things get way out of control and we’re forced to deal w/ a.l.f. or punky brewster again! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo
